Why is the #BIRI telescope stand called #BIRI?
This is the question that many are asking us. The #BIRI was born in Verona, and pleasantly in Verona and its province the #BIRI is considered a purely male “object”. Legend has it that its inventor, alias Roby (Roberto Adami), one day during a bike ride with friends, was questioned by one of the friends, who in the meantime had stopped for a break, not knowing where to place his his beautiful bicycle turned to Roby: “Roby how can I put my bike? It’s new, made of carbon, it cost me an arm and a leg!” Roby’s response was as sudden as it was funny: “Where you want to place it, place it on the #BIRI, you have no other choice…” Hence legend has it that the name of the first telescopic stand in the world became precisely the #BIRI, which has many characteristics in common with the Male #BIRI, except for some technical aspects…
